Changes to ACAOM Fees & Dues Schedule [1 Jul 2021]

To meet its operational demands, the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM, or Commission) had approved modest increases to annual dues and some fees, originally intended to take effect 1 January 2021.  However, given the challenges associated with the coronavirus pandemic, the Commission delayed the effective date of planned increases for one year.

The Commission announces the following changes to its Fees & Dues Schedule:

  • Headcount fee for institutions
    • $36 per unduplicated full-time or part-time student
    • Effective for headcount fees invoiced on or after 1 December 2021

  • On-site visit expenses
    • Invoicing will change as follows:
      • The institution must arrange and directly pay for airfare, local hotel, and local transportation costs for the full visit as described in the ACAOM Site Visit Manual
      • ACAOM will invoice the institution/program for the site visit fee and miscellaneous site visit related expenses, including but not limited to: transportation to and from a site visitor’s home to originating airport; parking; baggage fees; and site visitors’ meals & incidental expenses (defined by the IRS: www.gsa.gov/perdiem)
    • Effective for on-site visits taking place on or after 1 January 2022

  • Self Study Report fees
    • $ 4000 for the Primary Program Report
    • Institutions may request a waiver to combine multiple programs into a single SSR. Additional review fees apply when waivers are approved to combine multiple programs into a single SSR:
      • $ 2000 for each additional Degree Program Report
      • $ 1000 for each additional Certificate Program
    • Effective for Self Study Reports submitted on or after 1 January 2022
